Stiffness?

Post by KD on Wed May 06, 2009 4:57 am

Am I the only one that comes to this part of the forum???

Anyway.. Lately I have been told that my animations are very stiff. (I animate with the line tool)

I'm quite confused on the matter.

Can anyone explain it for me, how to combat it, or link me to a tutorial on the matter please.

-Thanks.

You need practice. It's basically making your sitcks fluid. I would suggest moving all joints and then ease out if the stick is still.

Well maybe show an anim fo yours which was called stiff.
Normally an animation gets branded stiff because the back doesnt bend very much like an old mans back, and to make it not stiff you have to make your sticks flexible.

Ill try and create two anims, one being stiff and one flexible (not stiff).

well i dont really animate with the line, because i still havent figured out most of the elements of flash yet...
i still got loads to figure out, and i hope i will Smile
But stiffness with the line is pretty common for new line users as far as i've seen,
Just practice alot, move joints, hopefully you'll get better Very Happy
